Waqas Ahmad has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer at Pak-Qatar Family Takaful. He is a highly accomplished individual who has made significant contributions to the insurance industry. With over three decades of experience in Takaful/Insurance, Waqas Ahmad brings valuable insights and leadership in various strategic areas such as Strategy, Technology, Business Planning, Takaful, and Management across all Lines of Business. His expertise encompasses Life and Health underwriting, Servicing, Product Development, Retakaful, Service Quality, Customer Experience, Claims management, and other key business areas. Committed to driving organizational growth and fostering innovation, he excels in dynamic environments by combining his wealth of experience with forward-thinking vision to guide companies towards sustainable success. As a certified Director, Waqas Ahmad has played a pivotal role in establishing new Takaful/insurance ventures from scratch, including taking on leadership roles in setting up the first digital Insurer (Family Takaful) in Pakistan. He has also served as an Executive Director at Salaam Takaful Limited (Formerly Takaful Pakistan Limited) and as the Chief Operating Officer at PAK QATAR FAMILY TAKAFUL KARACHI, overseeing Life Underwriting, Policy Servicing & Claims. Waqas Ahmad holds an MBA in Marketing/Marketing Management, General from Allama Iqbal Open University, as well as a PGD in Islamic Finance from the Centre of Islamic Economics.
