It is a matter of happiness that @Dr Bakht Jamal Shaikh has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of Insurance Association of Pakistan (IAP). Dr Bakht is An active and well versed insurance person, he started his journey with State Life in Underwriting and then moved to Dawood Family Takaful limited and IGI Life Insurance Limited. in the field of Takaful, Dr. Shaikh served as the Head of Window Takaful Operations at both hashtag #AdamjeeLife Assurance Co. Ltd. and IGI Life Insurance Limited.His tenure saw the successful implementation of CIAR 2020 and Unit Linked regulations, along with a comprehensive revamp of the legal and frame works. Throughout his career, Dr. Bakht Jamal Shaikh has not only achieved professional milestones but has also contributed significantly to the industry’s knowledge base. His rare combination of medical practice and life insurance degrees, coupled with his dedication to training and education, sets him apart as a true luminary in the realm of insurance and hashtag #takaful. Dr. Bakht Jamal Shaikh Dr. Bakht is presently working as Director of Ops. & Legal at Adamjee Life Assurance Co. He is an accomplished management professional who brings with him thirty years of national and international working experience in the fields Life Insurance, Family Takaful, and Medical Profession. He was previously affiliated with the largest/oldest public sector life insurer and youngest private family Takaful operator in the capacity of Head of Operations, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Window Takaful Operations with State Life including its Gulf Operations Dubai office, Dawood Family Takaful, and IGI Life respectively. He has completed his MBBS, Medicine, and Surgery from Sindh Medical College, Karachi and Master Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI/M) from Life Office Management Institute, USA.
